Nestled just outside Höfn, Arnanes Country Hotel was the perfect haven after a long day spent chasing light and capturing the dramatic scenery of Iceland. The owner's warmth instantly made us feel at home, guiding us skillfully through our adventure with invaluable local tips. Our spacious room boasted fantastic views of the glacier and mountains, making it a visual delight every morning. Breakfast, served by a cheerful team including a friendly Portuguese chap, set us up well for our explorations. With easy parking right outside our door and the hotel's relatively remote location enhancing our chances of spotting the Northern Lights, we truly couldn't have asked for a better stay. Definitely a gem for those wanting to embrace the rugged, stunning landscape of this magical region!
